Just like the inside of my Brain, at times, this blog was empty when I opened it tonight. I don't understand the reason for the emptiness of either, but I believe the emptiness is simply to leave room to fill it with something new. A clean slate in our minds is as important as a clean slate to write on. Some days, I write better if I have some sort of prompt or earlier idea to build upon, and some days, my writing is happiest when there is nothing to build upon but itself. My brain is like that too, sometimes void of all judgements, preconceptions, prejudices or worries - that is when it is at is very best.
